NONE of the costumes were in any way offensive and if you get offended over a Dorothy or Alice in Wonderland costume you need to get real. ![]() Their prices are not outrageous.for my husband and I after tip it's like $20 but it A LOT of food.and we mean ALOT lol Last year when we went (October 2008) our last day of vacation was the 31st and when we walked in what a delightful surprise! All of the staff was dressed up! It was great! We have never seen anything like this! Apparently some people were offended that they dressed up for Halloween but they will get over themselves. Their ham and cheese omelette is amazing, their blueberry pancakes are awesome. The waittresses are ALWAYS friendly and chipper which is good since it's so early in the morning lol The pancakes are to die for.I look forward to them every year. This review is a little late since our most recent visit was in October of 2008 but my husband, father-in-law and I go to the Log Cabin EVERY SINGLE morning we are on vacation in Gatlinburg. But, way too EXPENSIVE!!!! If you are on a budget, it's not the place to go. VERY DELICIOUS!! I do like the Log Cabin. Everything is homemade there, bread (toast), waffles and so on. The bill came to $45 add tip, you have a $50 breakfast!!!! That's absurd!!! We usually eat at Mountain House on 321, which is great and very low priced restaurant and includes A LOT more food per platter and bill. So I ordered eggs for him (waitress marked 2 eggs, who knows why), I already asked about a childs order? then an order of bacon to go with the eggs. There was not a kids breakfast that just inlcuded eggs without pancakes. My two year old could only eat eggs and bacon, due to an allergy. Food items included: 1 oj, 1 tea, 1 coffee, 1 milk, adult blueberry pancakes w/bacon (which was not included in the price of pancakes, 2 eggs/bacon/toast, childs hotcakes/bacon. My husband, 2 chidren and I visited there a couple of weeks ago and was shocked at our bill. Used to get the Chocolate Chip Pancakes as a kid/teenager Yummy!! (I'm 40 now). I have been coming to Gatlinburg for over 25 years and have been eating at the Log Cabin off and on since I can remember.
